St Mary's Catholic Primary Schools Trust

Year 6 School Journey

Day 1. All here safe and sound, and very, very excited! Unpacked, toured the sight, had dinner - Shepherd's pie, fish fingers or goat's cheese tart, played 'Capture the Flag' in the beautiful evening sun and then back for bed.

Day 2. Sun shining on us again today. Everyone slept well and ready for another day of fun: canoeing, giant swing (gulp!), Jacob's Ladder, rafting, sensory trail, quad biking, and Cluedo in the evening- happy days!

Day 3. We will be excited to welcome Mrs Fleming and Mr McDonald later who are joining our party.  At the end of a long day we went for a campfire and sang songs, and learned how to toast marshmallows.

Day 4. Lots of the children tried archery this morning, which is harder than it seems!  We also learned to abseil and how to undo the metalwork on our harnesses.  The weather remains good and warm with no rain. This evening is disco night.

Day 5. There are some tired eyes after last night's disco.  The children have two activities this morning, and we leave the PGL site after lunch.  Our Croydon arrival time depends on M25 traffic, but we are aiming for 3.30pm.  All the children are looking forward to seeing their parents.
