Year 2
4.7. 2025
Dear Parents/Carers,
Our Celebration Assembly
Our Stars of the Week are: Jaydel an all the Year 2 children whose behaviour was outstanding on our school trip to Brighton. We were so proud of them all!
Our awards for St Mary’s Way go to: Katie in St Martin’s Class and Setimalyo in St Francis Class.
Religious Education Topic: Treasures
We have been learning about the wonder of God’s creation, the World and our role in helping to look after it for the future. We have learnt in our Catholic Social Teaching that we are stewards of Gods creation and we have a duty of care for looking after this Planet that we live in and for generations to come. One of the things we can do is to recycle materials. Home learning: Is recycling important to you or something you could begin to do at home? If it is something that you do not do yet, could you discuss it as a family and consider recycling paper, glass, plastic and food waste? Reduce, Reuse, Recycle "Reduce, reuse, recycle" is a common phrase promoting environmentally friendly practices. It encourages minimizing waste, using items multiple times, and processing discarded materials into new products. These actions help conserve resources, reduce pollution, and minimize the need for landfill space.
