Nursery Newsletter

4th December 2020

Dear Parents and Carers,

I hope you are all keeping well and you have had a good week. The children have been busy in Nursery this week choosing lots of different learning activities with their friends.

We would be very grateful if you would wear face coverings when you are on the Nursery premises in accordance with the Government’s guidance for COVID-19.  Thank you.

We would be very grateful if you could check to see if you have any of the Nursery joggers or jumpers at home as we are running very low on them at the moment.  Please make sure that all of your child's uniform is clearly named. Please make sure your child is not wearing earrings or any type of jewellery. It is for safety reasons and is not part of the school uniform.

We will continue to learn about the number 2.  Ask your child to bring you 2 items e.g: 2 building blocks. We are learning to recognise the numeral 2.  Ask your child  to show you a number 2 when you are out and about.  We will be choosing 2 matching objects from a larger group of objects.  We are working towards learning about the number 3.

We will continue with the new topic 'Birthdays'.  We will be thinking about what we can do during Advent to get ready for the birth of Baby Jesus on Christmas Day. The children will be making an Advent promise that they will try to keep until Christmas Day

We will continue to learn about  ‘People Who Help Us.’  The children have been very interested in the Police and Fire Brigade this week.  We are sharing Christmas stories as we approach this festive season. Please share a story with your child each day as it helps their language development and their understanding of the world around them.

We hope you all have a good week.
Many Thanks,
Miss Fuller and the Nursery Team.
