Nursery Newsletter

Hello Nursery parents and carers!

We have had another busy week in Nursery. The children are getting used to the routines in Nursery, and they have been enjoying making their learning choices with their new friends. This week we have been learning the rhyme 'Baa-Baa Black Sheep' and activities have been designed to support this.

This week we have been singing number rhymes using numbers up to 5 - '5 Currant Buns', '5 Little Ducks' and '5 Little Men in a Flying Saucer'. ' Each of our learning groups have been singing one of the songs each day.  Each group will learn a different song next week.  We have been talking about things that are big and little as the children have been making their learning choices.

Our topic this half-term is Nursery Rhymes.  We will continue to sing 'Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star' and  'Baa-Baa Black Sheep' and next week we will be learning 'Humpty Dumpty'.  We will be singing the rhymes every day and using activities associated with them.  At home maybe you could sing the nursery rhymes we are learning in school with your child as they love really do enjoy singing them.

Please send a water bottle with your child's name on it.

We ask that the children do not wear earrings to nursery - this is for their safety.

We ask you to bring book bags to nursery on Monday and Friday.

We would be very grateful if you could bring a spare set of uniform for your child to leave on their peg in case they need to be changed during the Nursery session.  Thank you.

We look forward to more fun in Nursery next week.

Thank you so much for all your support,
Miss Fuller and the Nursery Team.
