Headteacher's Newsletter
Friday 21st November 2025
Dear Parents and Carers,
This week has shown, yet again, what a remarkable community we are blessed to have. I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to every pupil, parent and member of staff for your hard work and dedication. In the middle of a busy term, you continue to give your best with grace, humour and no small amount of resilience.
I must offer a special word of thanks for the generosity shown during our fundraising appeal for Jamaica following the devastation caused by Hurricane Melissa. Watching the whole school come together was genuinely uplifting. The funds raised will be taken to Norbury High School for Girls and passed on through the BME Forum to reach the communities who need it most. Your kindness will make a real difference.
This spirit of compassion speaks directly to the Gospel we will hear on Sunday: The Good Thief – “Lord, remember me…” (Luke 23:35–43). In that moment on the cross, Jesus reminds us that mercy, hope and remembering one another are at the heart of faith. Our school’s response to those suffering in Jamaica is a modern echo of that same message: choosing compassion even when life is busy and choosing to act when someone cries out for help. It is a powerful witness to the values we teach our children every day.
As we come to the end of the week, I hope you all enjoy a well-deserved and restful weekend. Please stay warm during this cold spell and take good care of yourselves and your families.
Warmest wishes.
Cross-Country
Congratulations to our cross-country team, who represented the school brilliantly at the Catholic Schools Cross Country Competition at John Fisher Playing Fields on Friday 7 November. The entire school community is incredibly proud of their effort, teamwork and excellent achievements.
A special congratulations goes to Beatriz (5B) and Talise (3E) for securing individual bronze medals in their races. What a fantastic accomplishment!
A heartfelt thank-you to Mr Chappell, Mrs Ottlyk and Miss Gengan for organising the event and supporting the children on the day. And our thanks also to the parents who kindly transported the pupils to and from the competition. Your support makes these opportunities possible.
Nativity
We are delighted to share that our Year 4 children will be performing their Nativity production at the end of this term. Parents and guardians or Year 4 children are warmly invited to join us for the performance at 9:30am on Tuesday 16 December.
This always promises to be a joyful highlight of the season and we look forward to welcoming you.
